'Pregnant Man' Thomas Beatie is pregnant man again (video)

thomas beatie, pregnant man, pregnant man pregnant again, Thomas beatie 2nd baby, Thomas beatie 2nd pregnancy, pregnant man 2nd baby, pregnant man 2nd pregnancy, Thomas beatie second baby, thomas beatie second pregnancy, Thomas beatie pregnant again, Thomas beatie expecting again, Thomas beaty, pregnant again Thomas beatty, Thomas beattie, pregnant again, man gives birth, pregnant man on oprah, male pregnancy, read my mind, monacomeThomas Beatie, the 'pregnant man' is pregnant again! That's the shocking revelation Barbara Walters unleashed on 'The View' recently about her accidental discovery - an announcement that shocked many conservatives in our society that have only recently 'recovered' from the news that a pregnant man gave birth last June. Baby Susan is now four months old, with a little playmate on the way to keep her company.

Apparently, Barbara Walters was doing a feature on Thomas Beatie, the 'pregnant man', his family and his journey, for 20/20. She drove to their place in Bend Oregon for the interview and to get a first-hand glimpse of their unorthodox family. During the course of the interview, Barbara Walters asked Thomas if he was taking testosterone (male hormones) again, to which the 'pregnant man' replied in the negative. Apparently, something suddenly clicked inside
Walter's head, call it female intuition, and she asked if Thomas is pregnant again. The answer was 'yes'. (Photos courtesy of ABC)

"So we’re doing this interview and I’m asking him if he’s taking testosterone again and he says no … so we’re talking about how they do it, what’s their sexual life like, how do they raise the child, and then I don’t know what …. I looked at him, and I said ‘Are you pregnant again?’ Thomas Beatie the pregnant man is pregnant again. The baby will be born in June. And I said ‘I’m speechless’ and they said ‘We thought you would be’."

That 20/20 feature will be aired later tonight but here's a short clip of that interview followed by a news report about Thomas Beatie's second pregnancy (I will be posting the complete 20/20 feature here when it becomes available:

The Pregnant Man: Thomas Beatie and his Family

'Pregnant Man' Thomas Beatie is Pregnant Again!

Thomas Beatie used to be a woman but began to live as a man when he was in his twenties. Before Beatie became a transgender, he was Tracy Lagondino living in Hawaii. Friends in Honolulu quoted in news reports said she was in love with Nancy Roberts and got the sex change because Hawaii's laws did not support same sex marriage. It was the only way she knew how she and Nancy would be legally together for the rest of their lives. He had breast surgery to remove the glands and flatten his chest and testosterone therapy. However, he decided to keep his female reproductive organs.

In an interview with Oprah last year, he said that they decided to get pregnant because they wanted a child of their own. And because of Nancy's hysterectomy, the only option was for him to carry the baby. He stopped his testosterone therapy, bought sperm from a donor and got pregnant through artificial insemination. Defending his decision to have a child from numerous critics in print and broadcast media, as well as in their own community, he told Oprah: "I see pregnancy as a process and it doesn't define who I am. It's not a male or female desire to want to have a child, it's a human desire. And I'm a person and I have the right to have my own biological child."

Thomas Beatie, the 'pregnant man', is in his first trimester and they are expecting their second child in June.

Svetlana Pankratova, the woman with the world's longest legs

svetlana pankratova, pankratova, longest legs, longest legs world record, woman world’s longest legs, longest legs in the world, Guinness world record long legs, guinness world record longest legs, Russian woman long legs, world’s leggiest woman, world record long legs, Guinness world records, longest legs in the world, read my mind, monacomeIt's Guinness World Records Week, a celebration of world record-breaking events. And to kick things off, Svetlana Pankratova appeared before an amazed crowd of onlookers in New York's Times Square to show off the world's longest legs. With a height of 196 centimeters (6ft 5in), her legs measure an incredible 132 centimeters (4ft 4in) or about two-thirds of her body length! She also has very large feet, wearing a size 13 (US)/46 (EU). Born on August 29, 1971 in the Russian city of Volgograd, Svetlana Pankratova once played women's basketball at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia where she was described as an impact player, setting three all-time records which are still active: No. 1 - Career Blocked Shots, 1992-95 (176), No. 1 - Single Season Total Blocked Shots, 1994-95 (75), and No. 8 - Single Season Field Goals,
1994-95 (178).

While less physically-blessed individuals may marvel at her whopping proportions, Svetlana is quick to point out the difficulties of having world record attributes. In an interview with NBC's Today Show, she said, "Some guys like it but others do not like standing next to a woman this tall, they are intimidated." He he. "It is also a challenge when I get on planes, I do not have enough legroom I must admit," she added. Well, I can just imagine how uncomfortable it must be. I don't think that even an airline's first class seats have enough room for those legs! Another problem that she most probably has is where to get her clothes, and shoes. While her upper body appears to have more typical dimensions, those extra long legs are definitely a problem. Where does she get her pants? Jeans? Or how about stockings and pantyhose? I guess only custom-made leg apparel will do.

Svetlana Pankratova also made an appearance in London's Trafalgar Square a few months ago, to promote the new edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. The world's shortest man, He Pingping, was with her in that event. Though Pingping barely came up to Pankratova's knees at this rather bizarre photo shoot, the pair seemed rather happy in each other's company as they posed for photos on Trafalgar Square's steps in central London.

I have found a number of articles about Svetlana Pankratova in the course of researching for this post. However, there hasn't been any mention about what she does for a living at present and makes me rather curious. Does anybody out there know what her job is? Something related to sports perhaps?

how's your eyesight? take this eye exam

Have you been suffering from bouts of blurred vision, headaches that seem to occur after hours in front of the PC (blogging, surfing, whatever) or worse, dizzy spells? Well, I have and I think I may need to get a pair of glasses. The mere thought of it freaks me out because I don't think I'd look good wearing them. I used to wear a pair when I was in high school (non-prescription ones because I thought I'd look cool) and trust me, it wasn't a pretty sight. After a while I had to throw them away. To give you an idea, think 'Revenge of the Nerds'. Get the picture? He he. I know there are a lot of people who swear that glasses enhance their looks, my friends being some of them. Unfortunately, I'm one of the exceptions.

Over beer and karaoke, I mentioned my predicament to some of my friends last week and they were one in saying that I should have my eyes checked. Actually, their advice was to see a
doctor because these may be symptoms of something else, something worse. However, I think I'll start with my eyes, go to an ophthalmologist and take it from there. This move is easier on the pocket, and my sanity. Moreover, my fear of doctors, blood, syringes and all that stuff dictates that I should try the ophthalmologist first. I have an appointment on Friday.

However, I was surprised to receive the following in my email yesterday, with the following note attached: "This is brilliant! Try this. It's a new eye exam called the Oriental Eye Exam. It works! If you can't decipher anything, try pulling the corners of your eyes as if you were Chinese." It's from Dave, one of the friends I was out with last week.

I should have known better than to trust a guy who was already drunk when I brought up the subject last week. He he. But then again, it might be true! Maybe I should try this remedy first before going to the doctor. It might just work! What do you think? He he.

--------------------

While we're on the subject of eyesight, here's some good news. Prescription eyeglasses are available at unbelievable prices online. This was news to me as I thought only non-prescription glasses can be bought on the internet. Now, the convenience of shopping online is also available for those of us looking for the right pair of glasses.

One of the the biggest drawbacks I see in buying eyeglasses from a store in the mall is the availability as not even the biggest shops carry all the styles available. Sometimes, the most popular designs are sold out and one would have to either wait for the stock to be available, choose another design or look for another store. With shopping online, however, this won't be a problem, especially with the bigger stores like Zenni Optical. They have a complete line of eyeglasses to choose from - single vision, bi-focal, progressive, rimless, half-rim, full rim, aluminum alloy, titanium, etc. What's more, the prices are unbelievably affordable, something most welcome in these hard times.

Sarah Palin related to Diana, Roosevelt; Obama to Brad Pitt

No, nothing serious. In fact, these recent discoveries are quite amusing. Ancestry.com has revealed that based on their records, genealogy experts have concluded that Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin is distantly related to the late Princess Diana. Wait, there's more. She's also a distant cousin to the late U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt! Now, how's that for pedigree?

The governor of Alaska and the princess are tenth cousins, while Palin and Roosevelt are ninth cousins once removed, said Ancestry.com. Palin and the late princess descended from John Strong and his wife Abigail Ford, according to the online genealogists. Strong was born around 1605 in England and emigrated to the United States, where he died in Massachusetts in 1699.
Palin and Roosevelt, on the other hand, share ancestor John Lothrop, who was born in England in 1584 and also emigrated to America, where he died in Massachusetts in 1653. According to family and local histories, Lothrop was a Puritan Presbyterian minister who arrived in the Massachusetts colony in 1634, said Ancestry.com.

The genealogical connections are not the first to gain attention in the 2008 US presidential campaign. Last year, Lynne Cheney, wife of the Vice President, said she found, while tracing her family roots, that her husband Vice President Dick Cheney was a distant cousin of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama! Other researchers also discovered that Barack Obama is distant cousins with actor Brad Pitt.

Well, nothing, I suppose. They don't add any plus points to the candidate. In Obama's case, I think his relation to Dick Cheney is even more of a disadvantage. He he. With Sarah Palin, it's good to find out that she comes from a well-heeled and illustrious line, though I doubt if these cousins' kin will endorse her candidacy. He he.

The majority of records are from the United States, though a growing number of records are being added for other countries such as Canada, the United Kingdom, and various European countries. Some of these records are free for anyone to access, but the majority are accessible only by paid subscription.

It was only recently that I discovered an almost complete compilation of
Inuyasha (and Kagome) online episodes for viewing and/or download and I was happy to tell her about it. The following is the said list for others like her.

The story of Inuyasha begins in feudal Japan, where our hero steals the Jewel of Four Souls, an item that can increase one's powers enormously, from a village. He doesn't get far, however, as Kikyo, the village priestess, stops him. Kikyo, fearing that the jewel might fall into evil hands, seals Inuyasha into eternal sleep inside a sacred tree. After being mortally wounded, Kikyo tells her younger sister, Kaede, to burn the jewel with her body to prevent it from falling into the hands of evil.

In modern Tokyo, Kagome wanders near the Bone Eaters Well while looking for her cat. A centipede demon drags her down the well into magical feudal Japan where she finds Inuyasha still sealed in the tree. Recognizing she is the reincarnation of her sister Kikyo, Kaede tells her of the story of Kikyo and Inuyasha. To defeat the demon centipede, Kagome releases Inuyasha from his sleep. But succeeding battles with other demons seeking the Jewel shatters it into numerous shards across Japan. Thus begins the adventures of Inuyasha and Kagome to recover the lost shards.

My PayPal account is empty when I checked it this morning! The bogus PayPal email got me!' That was the message that jolted my sleepy head into consciousness this morning, the first text message I opened on my mobile when I woke up. It came from Rina (not her real name, hope you understand), a friend from work who started blogging seven months ago at my encouragement (and insistence). My first reaction was panic! What if my PayPal account is empty too? What if I have been scammed myself? I immediately checked my account, scampering to the PC and fumbling with the keyboard as my nerves got the better of me. To add to my terror, my password was rejected twice! A few deep breaths
calmed me a bit to and helped my fingers type the correct password the third time. My hard-earned moolah intact and I was relieved.

Rina, on the other hand, was in tears when I got hold of her. She was saving up for a PS3 for her son, laboring through endless hours of paid posts, reviews and surveys. Now all the money she earned was gone. She fell victim to another mutation of a bogus PayPal email circulating in cyberspace, the same email, by coincidence, that I received a few minutes ago (hence this post). Here is a copy of it for your reference. You may have the same scam PayPal email in your inbox right now.

The most important things are these:

  • PayPal doesn't address its clients as "Dear Customer", "Dear PayPal User", "Dear Member" or "Dear Valued Client". They always address their members by their complete registered names.

  • Don't give out any information such as your name, account number and password, credit card details, etc. that the email asks for. Once you do that, it's goodbye to your account for these scammers act very fast, emptying accounts the minute they receive the vital information they need.

  • Don't click on any link provided in the email. Hover your mouse over the link and check for its URL. If in doubt, don't touch the email. What I did when I first received such scams was to contact PayPal and forward the email to them. I then received a prompt reply to my query together with a verification of the email and guidelines on how to avoid being scammed in the future.

  • If you have already entered valuable information, or clicked the link provided, you take immediate action to protect your identity and data. Report it to PayPal at once. If you only clicked on a link inside of a spoofed email, you may also want to run a security scan on your computer. eBay has a help page with valuable information regarding the steps you should take to protect yourself. Below is a link to this page:

    http://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/index.html

  • Tell your friends about it and publish your experience as much as possible. This will help disseminate valued information and, more importantly, always make others aware of this ongoing threat in cyberspace. This scam has been as old as the internet itself but many are still being victimized because of complacency. The email scam syndicates will never stop as long there are "willing" victims out there.

Please be reminded that this scam does not only happen to PayPal clients. eBay, bank clients (especially those involved in online transactions) and credit card holders are also a prime target. But let us always remember that awareness is the key to fight this. Rina has learned her lesson, and I hope this post will serve as a reminder to other out there to be more careful next time.

my cup runneth over: a tale of misfortune and luck

Life is full of surprises. There are triumphs as well as defeats, setbacks and misfortune as well as opportunities and good luck. It's a mix of the good and bad, just like what happened to me last Saturday. Mind you, this is no post about something profound and earth-shattering. But rather, it is a simple tale of stupidity, bad luck and an overflowing cup glass of beverage.

My appointment was for three in the afternoon but, as usual, I arrived early. I wanted some time to myself to explore the mall. I haven't been out much the past couple of weeks and I wanted to catch up on on of my favorite hobbies, window shopping. He he. Sonny, Alex and I were to meet and decide if we were to watch the Eraserheads reunion concert later that day. As I rested after a few rounds, I decided to break my no-soda policy and ordered my favorite diet soft drink at a famous cafe. There I was busily enjoying people-
watching - another favorite past time of mine in public places. My phone rang, it was Sonny's wife, Grace. We hadn't talked to each other in a while and that simple phone call turned into another talkathon. Little did I know that it would be the cause of my biggest problem (and embarrassment) for the day.

While busily yapping on the phone with Grace, I didn't notice that the diet soda I was pouring into my glass had overflowed. It was too late when I felt the cool wetness of the beverage as it soaked through my crotch to the family jewels! Needless to say, I jumped from my seat and threw down the phone on the table, to the surprise of other customers in the cafe. By then the liquid had run to the seat of my pants and down to mid-thigh! I was cursing like hell because of my stupidity and attracting more attention in the process. It was hopeless and I knew it. To make matters worse, the stain was horrible. It would have been better had I worn jeans instead of my favorite beige chinos! Now I look like a guy with the map of China smack right across his crotch (with Vietnam and Thailand on my right thigh!), I told myself. And I was sure the view from behind was just as bad.

Sonny and Alex arrived a few minutes later and, as expected, couldn't stop teasing me about my predicament. "Did you really have to go?" "Couldn't you hold it until you reached the bathroom?" "You should have poured soda to the rest of your pants to hide that stain!" were just some of the ribbing that I got. He he, not funny (to me at least).

We canceled the concert date as a result of the "accident". I couldn't go looking like that. Going home to change would take a lot of time (and gas), and buying another pair of pants in the mall was out of the question. The date was canceled. But, as we would learn much later, my "accident" was actually a blessing in disguise. The Eraserheads reunion concert was stopped midway beacuse Ely Buendia, the band's lead, had to be taken to the hospital after suffering from overfatigue and, probably, another heart attack. That "accident" just saved us 1,300 bucks each!

There is even a bigfoot press conference scheduled sometime today in California, purported to reveal conclusive evidence about the bigfoot that was found dead a few days ago, with bigfoot pictures, big foot videos and, listen to this, bigfoot DNA that will convince the staunchest of skeptics out there. Naturally, thousands are interested in this development, believers and doubters alike. But haven't we all been though some of these before? Haven't we been victimized by one bigfoot hoax after another in the past? Have we been brainwashed by adventurist TV shows into believing that bigfoot (sasquatch) really exists?

I remember watching many episodes of bigfoot-related shows while growing up many years ago. 'McGyver' was one of them. Also, faded reruns of 'The Six Million Dollar Man' and 'Bionic Woman' have many episodes dedicated to this legend, with the bionic heroes chasing and
battling the hairy, oversized beast. (For the young readers out there, those TV shows mentioned were all popular in the 80's, during your parents' teenage years.) Back then, I didn't know about this bigfoot legend. I thought they were just characters conjured up by over-imaginative TV writers for ratings purposes. I didn't know that people really believed they exist. But what really is a bigfoot according to legends? I found the following in Wikipedia (for the benefit of those who have been living under a rock these past years):

Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, is an alleged ape-like creature said to inhabit remote forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States and Canada. Bigfoot is sometimes described as a large, hairy bipedal hominoid, and some believe that this animal, or its close relatives, may be found around the world under different regional names, such as the Yeti of Tibet and Nepal, the Yeren of mainland China, the Orang Pendek of Indonesia, and the Yowie of Australia.

Bigfoot is described as being between 6–10 feet (1.8–3.0 m) tall, and covered in dark brown or dark reddish hair. The head seems to sit directly on the shoulders, with no apparent neck. Alleged witnesses have described large eyes, a pronounced brow ridge, and a large, low-set forehead; the top of the head has been described as rounded and crested, similar to the sagittal crest of the male gorilla. A strong, unpleasant smell is sometimes attributed to bigfoot.[2]

They are claimed to be mainly nocturnal, and seemingly omnivorous. In encounters where a human reported shining a flashlight at them, the eyes glowed red, possibly due to a tapetum lucidum in their eyes, not found in any other higher primate.

Sasquatches are rarely claimed to be aggressive, with only one reported case of a man being killed by one (found in The Wilderness Hunter by Theodore Roosevelt). Although there are claims of harassment of humans traveling through a forest that could be a part of a Sasquatch’s territory.

This recent bigfoot sighting is understandably generating a lot of curiosity, what with new evidence to be presented like bigfoot DNA and even the actual frozen corpse of the bigfoot hidden in a freezer somewhere. Let's just wait and see where this leads. There have been too many hoaxes in the past for people to think that this may be another one.

postscript: Here is a list of some of the most notable bigfoot sightings in history (from Wikipedia):

# 1840: Protestant missionary Reverend Elkanah Walker recorded myths of hairy giants that were persistent among Native Americans living in Spokane, Washington. The Indians claimed that these giants steal salmon and had a strong smell.

# 2005: On April 16, 2005, A creature resembling a bigfoot was reportedly seen on the bank of the Nelson River in Norway House, Manitoba. Two minutes and forty seconds of footage was taken by ferry operator Bobby Clarke from across the Nelson River. # 2006: On December 14, 2006, Shaylane Beatty, a woman from the Dechambault Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, was driving to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan when, she claimed, saw the creature near the side of the highway at Torch River. Several men from the village drove down to the area and found footprints, which they tracked through the snow. They found a tuft of brown hair and took photographs of the tracks.

# 2007: On September 16, 2007, hunter Rick Jacobs captured an image of a possible sasquatch using an automatically triggered camera attached to a tree. A spokesperson for the Pennsylania Game Commission challenged the Bigfoot explanation, saying that it looked like "a bear with a severe case of mange." The sighting happened near the town of Ridgway, Pennsylvania in the Allegheny National Forest, which is about 115 miles north of Pittsburgh.

# 2008: Berry-pickers reports a sasquatch sighting in northern Ontario, Canada.

# 2008: In August 2008, two hunters, Rick Dyer and Matthew Whitton, claimed that they had discovered the deceased body of a Sasquatch in a forest in northern Georgia. Two samples of genetic material, supposedly from the alleged remains of the Bigfoot, have been shown to contain human and opossum DNA respectively, while a third has been inconclusive for technical reasons.

my SEO adventure: the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat

seo, search engine optimization, serp, google search, page rank, seo skills, seo battle, olympics seo, serp, seo software, seo help, seo program, seo sevices, seo marketing, seo tips, seo optimization, seo ranking, seo rankings, seo placement, seo specialists, seo experts, My head is throbbing, my eyes are bloodshot, my back hurts and the pain on my butt is unmistakable. No, I'm not sick. My body is just reaping the rewards of my current search engine optimization (SEO) madness. Yup, I've been bitten by the bug as well and I've spent most of my time in front of the PC these past three days, updating, linking, optimizing my 2008 Olympics medal count page.

Having zero knowledge and negative interest in SEO several months ago, I discovered its joys (and financial rewards) quite accidentally through my Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz post. I was pleasantly surprised by the spike in traffic, the increase in subscribers and the surge in Adsense earnings it brought. Wow, I told myself, this is much better than desperately waiting for paid posting opps daily! This is quite easy. Or so I thought. Since then I was hooked. I tried my new-found skills again with my Miss Universe 2008 posts and was fairly successful. But my hands were itching for
something better, something bigger, and I found it in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

At first, I didn't know where to start. Then I stumbled on a blog with an Olympics medal count page, in July! That's when I realized that bloggers were eagerly jostling for positions that early, like race horses on the starting gate, waiting for the gun to sound off. I followed suit and started applying my little knowledge of optimization. To my surprise, my Olympic medal count page received tremendous traffic when the Games opened three days ago, and maintained a steady surge until today. Sure, I wasn't number 1, but landing on the first page of Google's search was good enough SEO ranking for a newbie like me. The additional traffic was great and so was the Adsense and SEO earnings. I was grinning from ear to ear,

But then I noticed a downtrend in visits starting this afternoon. With the Olympics not even halfway, this was a bad sign for my blog. A quick check at Google's SERPs revealed the culprit. The SEO experts (SEO specialists, or whatever they're called) had started to come in, armed with in-depth SEO marketing and optimization knowledge on how to quickly reach the top spot of Google's search and trounce pretenders like myself. Their 2008 Olympics medal tally posts seemingly swept my modest blog to the wayside. I knew it was too good to last.

Still, I will continue to link and optimize my Beijing Olympics blog post to maintain a respectable SEO ranking for the rest of the Summer Games, and hopefully earn some more from Adsense. But starting tomorrow I have a new goal, to learn more about SEO optimization and be prepared for the next battle!

postscript: For all you other SEO newbies out there, I hope you won't be discouraged by this tale. Every defeat is a learning experience and this is no exception. And, as with every battle, ammunition is the key. Let's start learning more about search engine optimization and start earning more with our blogs.
