After a six-month lay-off, Scrubs season 8 episode 1 (Scrubs premiere 8.01) returns to television this week with an episode entitled My Jerks. NBC had announced that Scrubs would end after its seventh season. However the writer's strike ended up cutting the show's episodes down to 11, and Scrubs prematurely ended its run on NBC . By mid-April of 2008, the cast returned to film an additional 18 episodes to be run as Season 8 on its new network, ABC. Scrubs 8 1 / Scrubs s08e01 is the first episode under ABC.
