Reiterating that she is indeed back in the music scene, Britney Spears celebrated her birthday on Good Morning America (GMA) this morning. But it was not just her birthday that she was celebrating. Today is also the launch of her latest solo album, Circus, and Good Morning America was the perfect venue for it. Singing and dancing (a little) in a circus tent specially put up for the event, Britney Spears wowed an audience of screaming fans with her first live performance of 'Circus' (the single) and her latest chart-topper, 'Womanizer'.
Just when everybody thought she was (scandalously) marching off into the sunset a couple of years ago amid a nasty divorce, a very public and humiliating custody battle, and the
continuous public scrutiny perpetrated by an unforgiving paparazzi, the pop princess took control of her life and is gradually inching back into the the limelight she once dominated. Gone are the days of rehab, hospitalization, paparazzi attacks and the most infamous of them all, the head-shaving episode. Britney Spears is back with performances that her fans adore, and can once again be proud of.
I found the following videos of her appearance on Good Morning America today. In all, the performances are quite enthralling but she could have done it much better without the lip synch.Circus: Britney Spears on Good Morning America (GMA) 12/02/2008

Circus Concert Tour
While this live Good Morning America performance was a real treat for Britney Spears fans, the best part of the morning was Britney’s announcement that she will be going on a world tour next year. That's great news for fans who have been anxiously waiting five long years for Britney to go back on tour. Officially entitled "The Circus Starring: Britney Spears", this is the seventh tour for the pop princess and will begin on March 3rd 2009 in her home state of Louisiana. Tickets for the tour (in certain American cities) will go on sale on Saturday December 6th, but it has not yet been announced when the tickets for the rest of the world will go on sale. According to the seating plans for the North American leg of the tour that are displayed on Ticketmaster, the tour will be in-the-round, meaning the stage will be in the center of the arena. Produced by AEG, the Britney Spears Circus tour will have the Pussycat Dolls as its opening act in the North American leg. As for the other details, nothing has yet been announced.'The Circus Starring: Britney Spears' Concert Tour Schedule
