'House' is arguably one of the most intriguing, annoying and irritating television series heroes of all time, with with Hugh Laurie earning raves for his portrayal of the unconventional doctor. While some are turned off by the eccentricity of his character, many more find him to be intriguing and, surprisingly, lovable. Such are the facets of his character that we again find in this latest episode, 'Last Resort'. In this season 5 episode 9 (s05e09) of the series, watch how he come face to face with a desperate man who holds him hostage in an office together with Thirteen, some staff and several patients.

The episode preview opens with a busy emergency room scene showing a crowd of doctors and nurses together with patients waiting to be treated. In one corner of the room, a man is shown quietly waiting for his turn to get treatment. Next, he is shown walking into Cuddy's office
probably seeking the treatment that was taking to long in the ER. There he finds Dr. House. In his usual hospitable mood, he shoos the patient away. However, the man was back a few minutes later with some company - thirteen and some staff - as hostages.

All the man wants is a proper diagnosis from the best doctor in the hospital because he claims to have been in many doctors' care but not getting well.
