Almost everyone who watched 'Saturday Night Live' last night talked about John McCain's appearance on the show. After all, the sketch he did with Tina Fey as Sarah Palin was hilarious. However, there was another performer on last night's SNL who deserve our attention, David Cook. With the release of his first solo album after winning American Idol only a few days
away, David performed two songs from that upcoming album - 'Light On' and 'Declaration'.
With 'Saturday Night Live' doing very well in the ratings this season, thanks to Sarah Palin, John McCain and Tina Fey (especially Tina Fey), it was the perfect venue to promote his album. He first performed 'Light On', a rock ballad that fits the David Cook voice and style we've loved since watching him on American Idol. Though I liked it when I first heard it back then, and have loved it even more since, it only received mild acclaim when it was released in October. Hopefully, the album and his other singles will do better.David Cook performs 'Light On' on 'Saturday Night Live' (SNL)
