One of my favorite television shows just ended its run for the season. With a finale entitled "Return to Queens Boulevard", season 5 episode 12 (s05e12) of the series shows the gang returning to the their home in New York City because of Vince's firing. No use in hanging around Hollywood jobless. However, Hollywood seems to follow. Vince’s mom tells him and Eric that Gus Van Sant is in town and is in need of a replacement for Joaquin Phoenix due to an injury. Vince immediately calls Ari to set up an audition. Ari, however, turns him down and says Vince has no shot at the role. Eric pushes Vince to audition, something he hasn’t had to do in quite some time, and eventually Vince agrees. However, they will soon find out that Gus van Sant is not interested. Vince, meanwhile, found an old flame from high school and immediately reconnects with her. Still quiet about his encounter with Jamie Lyn Sigler, Turtle continues to keep his relationship a secret from the boys. And, just when it looked like Vince's career is going to remain in limbo, Martin Scorsese calls Vince and personally offers him the lead in his re-imagining of 'The Great Gatsby'.
It's a good thing this season ended on a high note. The prospect of Vince making a Scorsese movie next season means that his career will have something to look forward to. This episode is fast-paced though I was quite disappointed that Vince and Eric didn't part ways. It would have given the show a nice shot in the arm, something different than the harmonious gang we've seen the past seasons. For a while there I thought it was going to happen. But then, in the end, it didn't. Who knows, it may happen next season.Watch 'Entourage' Finale Season 5 Episode 12 (s05e12) Online
