Right after the Sarah Palin Miss Alaska 1984 swimsuit competition video hit the web last weekend, the anonymous uploader promised that more would follow. Well, he kept his promise as the talent competition video, showing the Republican VP candidate playing the flute, just made it to cyberspace.
"An accomplished flautist who has been performing for ten years. She will be performing "The Homecoming" as written by Nathan Hardy...", the announcer said.
I have to say she's pretty good, for an amateur. But then again, I am in awe of anyone who can come up with a decent tune from a flute as playing the instrument is one of my frustrations.
I tried, but could only come up with a few flat notes that didn't resemble anything close to music. Besides, my lips and checks ached from all that blowing! Back to the piano for me. He he. 'The Homecoming' was also one of my favorite pieces at that time. In fact, I think almost everybody who learned to play an instrument at that period knew 'The Homecoming'. Written at the end of the video are the words "More to Come, Stay Tuned". I wonder what else is in store for us?
