The results for this episode are as follows: Winners - Mai and Oliver, followed by the following teams: Geoff and Tisha, Henry and Bernie, Pailin and Natalie, Ida and Tania, Isaac and Willam, AD and Fuzzie, Niroo and Kapil, Neena and Amit.

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Neena and Amit who finished last. Lady luck wasn't smiling on them when they picked the wrong cab and got stuck with a driver who didn't know where the final pit stop was. Were it not for this, they would have finished at around fifth or sixth place. Just goes to show that the Amazing Race is not all about skill, athleticism and teamwork. Luck plays a big factor too.

It was a very sporting gesture displayed by the teams of Mai & Oliver and Geoff & Tisha. Having worked together to reach the pit stop ahead of the others, they put fair play over and above competition by electing to use rock-paper-scissors to settle the winner. Hope sportsmanship will reign until the end of the race.

Mai and Oliver already figured in a big fight right after winning this leg/episode. And it was a shouting match, the first for this season! Mai was even threatening to quit, all because of Oliver's comments about having difficulty in carrying her bag. Looks like a volatile team up we got here. Let's wait and see how this pans out.

Every week I will try to come up with my choice of the strongest performance or the strongest pair (and most likely to win) based the the latest results. My choice may change from week to week or it may not, depending on how they fare in the latest challenges. My choice for this week are siblings Henry and Bernie. I think their teamwork and rapport rank above everybody else's, and they look fit as well. The bus challenge reveals this. Though they arrived for that particular task is fourth or fifth place, they were able to finish well ahead of the others considering how tough the challenge was. I think this speaks volumes for their physical strength and coordination.

On the other side of the spectrum, AD & Fuzzie and Niroo & Kapil look weaker than the rest (contrary to my observation before the race). The former look physically challenged for some tasks and, with more challenging tests ahead, I think they'll be having a hard time. on the other hand, I was surprised with the performance of the father and son team. Being an all-male team I was expecting more from them, plus the fact that they're an all-family affair. Communication and coordination wise, they should have a distinct advantage over the other teams.

Well, we'll see how accurate my observations are in the coming weeks, and how luck may play a big factor in their fates. See you next week.

Postscript: This episode aptly demonstrates why the Amazing Race is not for me (though I would have loved to join). He he. I wouldn't have lasted in the bus challenge as cleaning my car always wears me out!
