I still can't get over the excitement and awe from what we have witnessed with the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games last night. The costumes, fireworks, precision of each presentation; the colors, the pageantry and the sheer magnitude of it all. And if those weren't enough, the highlight of the evening, the lighting of the Olympic flame, was equally spectacular.

I have tried to look for videos of the event from YouTube but, unfortunately, nothing has been posted as of this writing. I therefore decided to post the following photos of the opening ceremony as a tribute and remembrance at the same time.
