Yes folks, you read it right. The much-awaited page rank update festival is ongoing and it's going to be a week of whines, whimpers and cheers depending on which side of the Google page rank update fence you fall into. He he.

I have been waiting for this. In fact, I have been checking more than three times a day if there was any change in my blog's page rank for the past month or so. Can you blame me? I have been languishing in PR0 since February (or was it January?) when good old Google slapped me for having paid posts. Three months later, it was still a big fat zero after I transferred to my own domain in April. This made me even more determined to make an improvement in my page rank. Fortunately, I managed to get a modest PR3 for my blogging efforts this time (though I would have preferred something slightly higher). However, experience taught me not to believe that this will be my final page rank for this round.
Do you still remember how I cheered and bragged (I even made a post about it) when I got a PR3 during the previous update only to have Google pull the rug from under me when they took it back a few hours later? Ha ha ha. That episode was both hilarious and embarrassing, and has taught me to reserve my reaction to this recent page rank reward until after the update period has passed, in about a week. Who knows, it may even go higher! He he, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
