'Filipina Girl' by Marcus Davis Jr. is currently the hottest song in the Philippines (for obvious reasons), topping almost all of the charts in different radio stations. I first heard it three days ago through my favorite station, Magic 89.9, and was immediately taken with its catchy melody and cool lyrics. Scouring the net thereafter, I tried to look for its lyrics to no avail, until today.

I like this song. The lyrics may not be much to appreciate but, at least, it takes about Filipinas in a positive way. They really are something special. Whether they're Filipino nurses working abroad for their families, caregivers and domestic helpers sacrificing life away from loved ones, stay-at-home mothers raising kids, career women competing in the corporate jungle or simple Pinays you'll find swimming in beautiful Philippine beaches in the summer, "there ain't nothin' in this world like a Filipina girl."I also tried to find its music video but I haven't been as successful yet. This is the best that I found, not exactly a video but it will do for now. Enjoy.
