Blogging has opened new doors for me. Aside from giving me the freedom to express myself through writing, income opportunities have given me modest earnings I never knew possible when I started this venture. I have said this beforesocial networking, blog marketing and advertising and I will say it again: I didn’t go into blogging because of the money. In fact, I didn’t know I could earn from posting my unsolicited opinions, reactions and sometimes-inane thoughts on the internet. This was just an outlet for me. However, the opportunities to make money at the same time were too good to resist, not only from ads but on paid posts as well (Do I hear sighs from idealists out there? He he).

There are numerous paid posting services in the blogosphere, each offering income opportunities in exchange for reviews, buzz articles and even links. However, a new kid on the block is offering something more. SocialSpark opened its doors to the blogging community a
few weeks ago, offering not only paid posting opportunities but fusing social networking, blog marketing and blog advertising into its list of services as well.

I immediately joined in after reading about this in another blog, eager to make friends from its roster of members. And I was not disappointed, receiving several invites immediately after my account was approved. This was my primary objective in joining SocialSpark. I wanted to establish new contacts and hopefully spread my ideas to a wider audience which would, in turn, generate traffic. Secondly, I was eager to try out their marketplace and all the income opportunities they offer. However, aside from sponsored posts and blog sponsorships (ads), I found another marketing category that I haven’t seen in other paid posting site. They call it Sparks and in this marketplace, bloggers can create FREE opportunities to promote their sites in the blogosphere. One way to do this is to advertise for reciprocal posts or reviews to other SocialSpark members. This opens the door to creating incoming links to one’s site and thus help achieve every blogger’s dream, a high page rank. Now, isn’t that one clever way to do it? He he.

I look forward to writing sponsored posts such as this one, making new friends and marketing my blog. And I also look forward to exploring other opportunities it can offer me and my blog. Who knows, SocialSpark may be the key to achieving blogging success.
