Michael Johns kicked out of American Idol? What? This is a shocker, especially to me since I was counting on Michael to land in the top three. Sure, I was not impressed by his rendition of Aerosmith's "Dream On" last night, but there are worse performers out there. Moreover, He hasn't been in the bottom three before so I assumed he had a fighting chance this week despite a weak performance. This is the biggest shocker yet!

What happened? Did his followers become complacent and over-confident this week? OMG, I can't get over it. I am surprised that Kristy Lee Cook is still in there. I was so sure that she'd be the one voted out this week, or Syesha. After all, the two of them have been consistent bottom dwellers for the past three or four weeks! Syesha is good but it seems not that many viewers like her. Kristy, on
the other hand, is uninspiring (to me at least). I have never liked any of her performances. But it seems she's on second wind after singing her "I Love the USA" song two weeks back. I wonder what' she's going to sing next, "God Bless America"?

I'm still pinning my hopes on David Cook despite Archuleta's obvious popularity. As for the next evictee, I hope it will be Kristy Lee Cook. But with the way it's going, looks like it'll be Carly Smithson (the other non-American) or Syesha Mercado. Let's wait and see. (Image courtesy of americanidol.com)
