I just saw this on Inside Edition a few hours ago. It's the latest hit on YouTube, with thousands of viewers watching this clip, lapping up the gossip and intrigue, and waiting for what happens next. It's a video of Tricia Walsh-Smith, a 49 year-old former actress who is out to get even with her estranged husband after apparently receiving notice that she is going to be evicted from their Park Avenue luxury condo. Touted as the first divorce video of its kind, it is currently sending ripples across America not only for its amusing revelations but for its scary consequences. Will this start a new trend? Are jilted spouses/lovers going to follow suit and spill the beans on their former partners as well?
Tricia's estranged husband is Philip Smith, 25 years her senior and president of the biggest theater conglomerate on Broadway. A very wealthy man. However, due to a pre-nup, she will be
getting loose change. And that's the reason behind all this retribution, which includes embarrassing claims about the use of Viagra, porn movies and intimate details about their sex life (she isn't getting any, he he).
YouTube has spawned countless positive results in our lives. This technology has led to the discovery of erstwhile unknown Pinoy talents like Charice Pempengco and Arnel Pineda, and brought so much information and entertainment at the click of a mouse. However, the realization that it can also be a venue for revenge is scary.
