Welcome!

VEDIO: a new discovery

I first encountered the word "vedio" from mcbilly, the site of wilford sy. Actually, I only saw it in passing and didn’t really read about it since the word didn’t ring a bell. I brushed it aside and read on the other more interesting posts to me. Vedio? What a careless typo, I thought. But after several visits to the same site, “vedio” kept popping up on the screen in front of me, seemingly trying to get my attention. maybe it’s not a typo after all, I thought, otherwise it would have been corrected by now!

Vedio (vedeo, video, veideo) could make you a lot of money” by mcbilly turned out to be an interesting post. Apparently “vedio” as a keyword is one hell of a traffic magnet! Mcbilly writes, “the keyword vedio is searched a lot of times and even exceeds the demand for keywords like make money online and ways to make money…” Wow, that got my attention. Anything that promises more traffic to a newbie blogger like me will not be ignored. Mcbilly further supports his claim by posting a chart of the traffic generated by “vedio” searches compared to other keywords. Hmmmmm.

Following the links posted on Mcbilly’s site, other bloggers further convinced me that this is a golden opportunity I should not pass up. Marhgil macuha (let's talk about vedio) writes that “after doing some extensive keyword research, I found out that the keyword vedio (vedeo, veideo, veidio) is searched many times on the internet, more than the keywords make money online! And what make this word exciting? Make money online has 136+ million competitors on google while vedio (vedeo, veideo, veidio) has only 6 million competitors as of this moment…..” how's that for motivation!

Jehzlau (jehzlau concepts), on the other hand, traces the beginnings of the said keyword and how it came to be so in demand in searches all over cyberspace. In his article “vedio: defined and elaborated” he said, “vedio is a 5 letter word that is undefined in the merriam-webster dictionary. People from Morocco often misspells the word video as vedio. Algerians, Egyptians, Indians and Sri Lankans did the same spelling mistake….” (writing about it seemingly confirms this. Everytime I type the word vedio, Microsoft word automatically corrects it to video.) He then further strengthens the keyword’s claim to fame by pointing out that if we Google the word vedio, “it would return almost 7 million search results!” Wow!

This is clearly an experiment worth trying. So what are we waiting for? Go ahead, write something, anything, about “vedio” and see how much traffic it will generate. You can even follow Marhgil’s advice: “Since the word vedio is just a misspelled version of video, you can write anything about it. ake it a name of your dog. Make it your alias as a blogger. Your new cat. A name of your new rock band. Make it anything you want. The possibilities are endless.” And this is exactly what Dennison did with his post, "Meet vedio the kitten". Soon we may see posts entitled, “Vedio, my imaginary friend”, or “Why I married Vedio”, or even “Erap sires another child and names him Vedio!” Ha ha ha.
