I got the title “tag day” from joanjoyce who did most of her tags last sunday. I received several tags the past week, about 7 of them in fact. (thought bubble: whay are there so many tags going around lately?) at first I told myself that I wouldn’t do them all because it’s too time consuming and quite trivial. but on hindsight I asked myself why not. specially since cyber friends and contacts took time out to do them as well, and remembered me out of so many others out there. ignoring this gesture would have been insensitive and inconsiderate of me, and I would definitely feel guilty later on if they are to be ignored. moreover, I realized that they’re not that trivial at all. I’m doing three today and will do the rest later in the week.
another reason is that the tags going around are so long, threatening to consume much of my homepage. in fact, I have advised lordmanilastone, one of my taggers, if I could shorten my version. but I found a solution to this. I installed expandable post summaries to my blog! actually, not me. my friend who is more knowledgable in this field. so don’t ask me how. so here goes my version of tag day:

I am 5’9” tall. though this is above average by pinoy standards, I am still one the the shortest among male cousins on my mother’s side of the family. most of my cousins are six-footers including teenage nephews. but on my dad’s side of the family, my brother (he’s as tall as I am) and I are the tallest.
my left foot is one size bigger than my right . I don’t know why. though I know one’s feet are not exactly the same size, I think to be one whole size bigger is weird. and one more thing, my right hip is slightly higher than the left, thus making my right pant leg look shorter!
I have acrophobia (fear of heights). though this may be quite common (I read somewhere most asians suffer from this phobia), I think mine is more intense than usual. I get dizzy just watching scenes shot from heights on television and in movies. and sometimes just walking near the railings at the mall gives me the shivers.
I worked at mcdonalds. sometime after college I tagged along when two friends to an interview for crew positions. they didn’t make it but I did, starting as crew in the kitchen cooking mcchickens, then gradually working my way up to a management position.
I learned to drive by myself. as early as in my early teens I had been keenly observing my dad and other drivers, intently watching their moves, listening how the car reacted. then I started by driving the car on my own while my parents were asleep at night, sneaking several times a week. they never knew, even if I scratched and dented the fender on several occasions. he he.
I see ghosts! but not all the time. I’ve must have inherited this “gift” from my dad. I often see white figures along the road while driving alone at night and only realized they were ghosts after passing them and noticing that they didn’t have faces, as in totally blank. once, I woke up with a dark figure standing at the foot of my bed, then gradually fading towards the closet. I have so many sightings to tell.
