it's already the second week of the last tennis grand slam of the year, the 2007 u.s. open, but i still couldn't find a local coverage of the event. very disappointing. i was looking for the coverage last opening week but it turned out negative. was hoping the second week would be different pero wala pa rin (but still nothing)!

roger federer has never looked this vulnerable in a grand slam for the longest time. his earlier matches were unconvincing, losing in some opening sets. this may be a result of not having a coach after parting ways with tony roach after the french open. or this may just be the law of averages catching up with him. hope he recovers from this "slump" and wins another us open crown! if not, hope novak djokovic wins instead of nadal. or maybe roddick.

on the ladies side, it was goodbye to maria sharapova and her red dress! good! stick to modelling my dear. the williams sisters still look strong judging from the result of their early matches. go serena! go venus!
